HOW DOES TOLLING BELL BOOKS SELECT BOOKS TO PUBLISH?
We select our books using several factors. First we look for quality writing,
someone who can develop unique characters, has clear voice, and
enticing plot. Second, we look for an author who is willing to get his or her
hands "dirty" in the promotion of the work by contacting press and
arranging book signings. Third, we look for a title that is marketable to
libraries and bookstores and potentially profitable over the long run. But
what we don't look for is what big publishers are after -- fads, selling lots of
books in a short time span. We want our authors to succeed and garner
attention at a slower pace (slow and steady wins the race) and eventually
we hope they may even gather the attention of the "bigger" publishers.
WHERE CAN YOUR BOOKS BE FOUND? HOW CAN THEY BE ORDERED?
Our books are available at most large bookstore chains like Borders,
Barnes & Noble, Books-A-Million, and Waldenbooks. However, we prefer
you purchase from an Independent Bookseller (since we are a small
publisher we like to support the other "little guys"). The links under
ORDERS will give you lots of options.
If you can't find our titles ask your bookstore or local library to order them.
Our book orders can be handled directly, or through Baker & Taylor,
Brodart, Booksense.com, or Amazon.com.
Usually our books are sold directly to bookstores, libraries, or
wholesalers; however, you may order individual copies through us as well.
